Matter usually dictates to humans the various methods and beliefs by which it wishes to be explored. Shamanisms issued from these subtle suggestions will normally be found in this part of any mandala.
The natural element through which such magic will manifest to the world will inevitably be earth.
As earth is the environment of fertilization and physical transmutations, the bodily manifestation of this reality will obviously be sex.
Earth being stability, it sometimes confers an illusion of permanence which manifests, in those who identify with it, as arrogance. In addition, this element keeps for a long time the memories and judgments of past events. When this memorial action deteriorates under the influence of society or personal Karma, it quickly regresses to the level of guilt and can induce an oscillation
between prostration and vengeance. Tantra allows us to overcome this contradiction
through appropriate shamanic practices.
